School Year 2026-2027

Oyster-Adams has not yet received the cards from DCPS, but we expect to receive them by the first day of school. As soon as we do, we will send a message with instructions on how to pick one up. In the meantime, if you do not have a card from last year or need one urgently, please send an email to school.transit@dc.gov.
School Year 2025-2026 Kids Ride Free SmarTrip cards will remain valid through September 30 of this year.

Remember: No Card, No Free Ride

Students riding Metrobus, Metrorail, or DC Circulator should always have their Kids Ride Free SmarTrip card with them or be prepared to pay the regular fare for their trip. In addition, students should always TAP their card on the METRO fare gate or Metrobus fare box.
