LSAT
What is LSAT?
The Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) is an elected committee of parents and teachers that advises the principal and administration on school-wide academic and governance issues, including the comprehensive school plan and the proposed school budget.
There are eight parent positions and four teacher positions on the Oyster-Adams LSAT, with an equal balance between Spanish and English speakers and representation from each campus. Elected parents and teachers serve a two-year term.
You can learn more about LSATs in general by exploring these DCPS resources. Resources specific to the Oyster-Adams LSAT are available here as well.
All LSAT meetings are open except budget-specific meetings as mandated by DCPS. Please see the calendar for the meeting dates. Meetings will alternate between in-person at the Oyster campus and virtual. A virtual option will be provided for those who want to listen. The LSAT encourages suggestions, feedback, and questions from the community. Please email Sweta Shah at [email protected]
