Señora Angeles Reza was born and raised in Mexico City. When she was 16 years old, she represented Mexico in the 1996 Olympic Games and placed 12th. She is a former athlete on the Mexican and American National Kayaking Teams. She is a Doctor Dental Surgeon and graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
In the last few years, Señora Reza chose to apply her knowledge of science engineering and math as well as her bilingual skills to education and chose a career change. She has been an aide for 4th grade at Adams and is being promoted to a teacher position at Oyster.
She is currently pursuing her Masters in Teaching and Education and is also a coach for the Washington Canoe Club. Through her educational and athletic experience she has developed her teaching philosophy that students learn best by doing.
