Zaneta Han began her career in education as a 7th grade math teacher in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District as a part of the Teach for America program. For 6 years, she taught math and general education to students in grades 4 through 8 in Charlotte, NC and Washington, DC.

After her time in the classroom, she spent 5 years in the District of Columbia Public Schools central office working in the Office of Human Capital as well as the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Zaneta brings a high-level of institutional knowledge and experience within DCPS. Her most recent role in DCPS’ central office as the Director of Enrollment has given her a birds-eye view of the challenges that many schools face with enrollment and student recruitment throughout the school year. Zaneta led her team to success by achieving unprecedented relationships and metrics in enrollment operations and the audit process by partnering with OSSE and other agencies that the district collaborates with the ensure our system-wide enrollment process are not only compliant, but high-effective. Prior to her work as director of enrollment, she was a director of admissions at a DCPS high school.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from Brown University.
