Ms. Laura Kleinmann has taught at Oyster-Adams since 1995, and is the school librarian at the primary campus. She is a graduate of Smith College, University of Mexico, and the University of Maryland; she has a master’s in library science, but considers her 6 years in Mexico to have offered her the best teachings. Ms. Kleinmann was selected to serve on America’s Award Committee, a national award for children’s literature that depicts life and culture in US Latino communities, Latin America and the Caribbean. Her favorite pastimes are reading, yoga, and spending time in Takoma Park.
