Mr. Julián Pineda

Julián Pineda has been part of the DC Public Schools community for seven years, serving as a highly effective assistant principal and teacher in the DCPS. He has a wide range of experience in bilingual education in different countries. He has been in education for more than 20 years. Mr. Pineda has served different communities in different capacities, including as assistant principal, teacher, coordinator, department chair, teacher trainer, curriculum writer, professional development designer, and facilitator.

In his previous schools, Mr. Pineda has supported increasing graduation rates, reducing the opportunity gap, and increasing in-seat attendance. Mr. Pineda’s first language is Spanish, and he is proficient in intermediate French and basic Japanese. Mr. Pineda holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, with an emphasis in teaching, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership
