Ms. Schuettpelz began teaching at Oyster-Adams in 2017. She is thrilled to become fully ingrained in the community as a teacher and a parent of an Oyster-Adams student. She will be teaching 6th grade science. Ms. Schuettpelz has been teaching in DC for 4 years and was chosen as the DCPS Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year. Ms. Schuettpelz has also been a Kenan Fellow, a SCALE Fellow, and the Delta Education Inquiry Teacher of the Year; in addition, she has received numerous grants including the Toyota Tapestry Grant.
