I am glad to see that we are able to end this difficult school year with all sorts of activities that help our students to have fun and reconnect with one another. I started to write individual thank you notes to teachers, staff, and parents who have coordinated and participated in multiple end-of-year trips and activities, but since the list is long, I decided to send a message to thank everyone! When I see and hear students talking about all the fun that they are having, I know that all these efforts are worth it. I can only say… THANK YOU.
Wear your pride on 6/17 (optional) This month in school is too short and busy for us to plan several activities to celebrate pride, but I know that we need to send the message that OA is an inclusive place. This is why I’d like to invite all students to wear something with the LGBTQ+ flag (the rainbow one) next Friday, June 17. I am coordinating with some teachers to have a face paint station as well. I would like to remind everyone that participation is optional.

Let’s celebrate our 8th graders We are very excited to celebrate our tigers this Thursday, June 16th at CHECH. Let’s shower them with praises and good wishes.
LSAT Elections! June 13-15! The LSAT is holding elections and we invite all members of the community to vote through this link. Voting will be open June 13-15th. There are currently 4 open slots in LSAT. Please select 2 Spanish dominant and 2 English dominant candidates.

Me alegra ver que podemos terminar este difícil año escolar con todo tipo de actividades que ayudan a nuestro/as estudiantes a divertirse y reconectarse entre sí. Comencé a escribir notas de agradecimiento individuales a lo/as maestro/as, el personal y los padres que han coordinadoy participado en múltiples viajes y actividades de fin de año, pero comola lista es larga, ¡decidí enviar un mensaje para agradecer a todo/as!
Cuando ves y escuchas alo/as estudiantes hablar sobre toda la diversión que están teniendo, sé que todos estos esfuerzos valen la pena. Solo puedo decir … GRACIAS.
Usa algo para mostrar tu Orgullo o el de alguien mas el 6/17 (opcional) Este mes en la escuela es demasiado corto y ocupado para que planifiquemos varias actividades para celebrar el mes orgullo, pero sé que necesitamos enviar el mensaje de que OA es un lugar inclusivo. Es por eso que me gustaría invitar a todo/as los estudiantes a usar algo con la bandera LGBTQ + (la del arco iris) el próximo viernes 17 de junio. Estoy coordinando con alguno/as maestro/as para tener una estación de pintura facial también.Me gustaría recordar a todo/as que la participación es opcional. Abajo escontrarán los siguientes anuncios y recordatorios a continuación. Espero que todos tengan una gran semana.
